Ayuda Con Descargas En Ubuntu 8.04

holas
yo soy nuevo en esto de linux y e tenido unos problemas para descargar las actualizaciones y paquetes con synaptic, cada vez que quiero instalar un paquete me tira este error

"W: Falló al obtener http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/...untu4_i386.deb
403 Forbidden"


busque en google, google.com/linux, foros y no encontre una solucion que se ajustara a lo que me pasa, si alguien me puede ayudar porfa

prueba haciendo por consola "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade"

y si no, "sudo apt-get install -f"

Edito, comencemos de nuevo...

te aparece 403, al parecer, porque te estas conectando por http. Prueba cambiar los los repositorios del sources.list:

sudo -e /etc/apt/sources.list
# si quieres cambias -e por el editor que tu utilices

Luego simplemente cambia http por ftp:

ftp://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/

Te conviene hacer un backup antes de modificar el sources.list

cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.backup

sí sigues con problemas puede que tengas problemas con las llaves, postea y ya veremos

Selecciona otro servidor para los repositorios:

Sietema>administración>synaptic>configuración>repo sitorios>descargar desde>otro>seleccionar el mejor servidor

Luego recargas los repositorios desde synaptic, o abres un terminal y tipeas:

sudo apt-get update

Prueba eso primero.

Hace caso de Henry Miller, cacha mucho mas que yo, sobre todo de ubuntu.
